All of what people have written is true...one of my favorite experiences in Mexico City is always eating! And not in restaurants...on the street. Both in the Alameda Park and the Chapultepec park, there are many indigenous people that sell the most
of course i am going to see the pyramids and the museum of anthropology and all the obvious tourist hot spots. but what is your favorite spot in the environs (or downtown) of mexico city that you think is under the tourism radar?
Its kind of hard to find a place under the tourism radar in Mexico City, but I recommend that you go the Bazaar del Sábado. There are many things to buy, art, handcrafts, etc., and you can have breakfast there.
Also you can go and take a walk

I think to take a vacation in Mexico, the first week of October. I am single and would go alone. I realize that I need to use common sense to go out alone at night and such, but other than that, I'd be sure to get out of my own? While it is safe to walk on your own during the day and go to a restaurant? Would I get a strange white woman seems to be a simple act of eating alone in a restaurant?
Another question: who is the best place to stay, or Centro Historico Zona Rosa? I'm much more in the museums of clubs.I am 34 years old, although I'm told I look much younger than me. Anyway, I'm not a clubber or a big drinker. And finally, if I get a little lonely there is somewhere people go just to hang out and talk, somewhere people would be open to having a foreigner to stand up and speak with them unawares!
