Before you go to California Big Bear Lake, you can use a cool new feature of Google Earth to "fly" and zoom in on things you want to see before you arrive. The program can be downloaded from Google at www.google.com / earth and you just hit Big Bear Lake, California, in the search bar for "stealing" the lake.
The first thing you'll probably want to do is check your choice of accommodations at Big Bear by zooming into the creeks, hills or intersection where you plan to stay. Resolution satellite images is extremely good. You can easily see the layout and buildings, and it's as if you were in a helicopter right above the lake.
California Travel Guide encourages visitors to use "preview" of a region as the best way to start your holiday planning. The site of a hotel or theme park may seem like a lot, but it's better to actually see what is there before you commit to one place or another....
