6 days is way too long to stay in Reno. I think I'll fancy myself another vacation. 5 days in Idaho/Jackson Hole ought to do it!

What train leaves here in the east (TN,KY,IL) and travels all the way to the west, preferably Idaho? I've looked at the Amtrak website and can't seem to find a route like this.
Unless you live in Memphis, there is no Amtrak service in TN.

My family left the area north of Idaho the last week of June this year, and we all headed to Lake Coeur d'Alene for a little rest, relaxation and exercise. I knew the trail of Coeur d'Alene (a paved road 72-mile bicycle) through the town of Harrison (population 267) to the south end of the lake, I offered to rent a cabin.
There were some expensive rentals in the area (running in the neighborhood of $ 2,000 per week), but we found a small hut (several decades) right on the seafront with the race trail between the court and dock.It was only $ 600 a week, so it was great, and unlike many cabins in the area, the court allowed you to walk straight down the runway and the lake without having to navigate a series of steep stairs (a large number of homes on the lake are built into the cliffs and high hills of the region). Our cabin was about 5 miles south of Harrison, you can easily ride along the track (there are roads for you car types too)....
